The Casa Grande de Soito is a 17th century house, designed with classical architecture and built of local granite, originally as one of the noble residences in the central-eastern region of Portugal.

When the family acquired it for their permanent residence, the house was completely in ruins. It was modestly restored, with great efforts to maintain as much of the remaining interiors as possible, including a number of historic coffered ceilings.
